The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services towards the community.
SASSA are going to be rendering services for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a press release, the agency mentioned it's alarmed concerning the significant quantity of people counting on social grants for survival.
“The purpose on the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out sassa status to the higher amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is often as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no thoroughly functional office dedicated to service the area each day. The company point developed for intervention encounters a higher SRD influx of potential beneficiaries, that makes it complicated with the Workplace to attend sassa status to all people who pay a visit to a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise much more resources to help the servicing of all shoppers and enhance entry to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
